Overview

This Bournemouth construction training course is aimed at directors and senior managers of any company, large or small.

It has been designed to give an understanding of the responsibilities and implications of decisions made by directors and senior management, with regards to health and safety in the workplace. The course also raises the repercussions of not meeting health and safety legal requirements, even for those not directly in a position to oversee the company health and safety policies/implementation.

The course focuses on the promotion of a positive health and safety culture within the workplace and is ideal for directors and senior management who want to reinforce their understanding and commitment to health and safety management.

The content also addresses the necessity of analysing legal responsibilities on an ongoing basis and in line with changing legislation, as well as the duties imposed on directors.

Content

The CITB Directors Role for Health & Safety training covers a range of topics, including

• Moral and human costs and the implications of decisions made in the boardroom
• The economic implications of an unsafe working environment
• Legal responsibilities with regards to health and safety
• The principles and importance of the risk assessment process
• Acquiring competent health and safety assistance and the limitations of such an appointment
• The basic tools of introducing a proactive health and safety culture

Certification

You will need to attend all 7.5 hours to complete the training. There will be continual assessment throughout the course, which will end with a multiple choice exam. Successful delegates who pass the CITB Directors Role for Health and Safety training will receive a CITB Site Safety Plus certificate which is valid for 5 years.

Please be advised that cancellations must be made in writing to info@jrstraining.com. Cancellations made up to 48 hours before the start of the course will receive a full refund for the course fees.

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice will not be refunded. This includes situations where the client is a no-show. By purchasing your place on our course, you are agreeing to these terms.
