CITB Grants

Grants are paid upon completion of a course or qualification.

OVERVIEW

Who is eligible for a CITB grant?

All employers registered with CITB can apply for a grant.

Grants are available to employers of all sizes, whether or not you pay a levy to CITB. This means that if your company is registered with CITB but is eligible for the Small Business Levy Exemption, you can still receive grants.

You must be up to date with your Levy Returns before making your application. This rule applies to all employers seeking grants for their employees.

GRANTS & FUNDING

Applying for a CITB grant

You’ll be happy to hear that at JRS Training, we can submit your grant application on your behalf for any short courses. Please let us know if you would like us to do this: we will require your CITB levy number.

However, NVQ grant applications must be submitted by the employer – within 52 weeks of the achievement date.

When you send the application form, you’ll also need to attach a copy of the achievement certificate from the relevant awarding body (we use NOCN) or your application will not be accepted.

Can any training company deliver grant-eligible courses?

Your chosen training provider must be a CITB Approved Training Organisation (ATO) in order for you to receive grants. This is to ensure the course you receive is delivered to the required standard by a qualified trainer.

However, becoming an ATO does not automatically qualify a training provider to deliver every standard. They must be approved to deliver the specific course in order for you to claim grant on it.
