Overview

The CITB‘s Health & Safety Awareness course is part of their Site Safety Plus training scheme, and is considered an essential introductory course for those new to the construction industry. The course highlights the potential hazards workers may be faced with on-site and provides practical advice on health and safety.

This course provides health and safety awareness and is endorsed by Build UK as standard training for all operatives on site.

Content

Upon completion of the course you will have an understanding of:

• The need to prevent accidents
• Health and safety law
• How your role fits into the control and management of the site
• Risk assessments and method statements
• Performing safely and asking for advice
• How to report unsafe acts to prevent an accident
• The individual responsibility of construction workers for their own safety and the safety of others
• Typical construction hazards and how these are controlled
• How everyone can help achieve better practical standards of safety on site

• Manual Handling
• Fire prevention
• Work equipment
• Occupational Health

Certification

Certification for this course is valid for 5 years. To remain certified in this area, you will need to retake the course before the expiry date.

Cancellation and Refunds

Our courses have limited spaces, so we respectfully ask that you give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel your place. Please be advised that cancellations must be made in writing to info@jrstraining.com. Cancellations made up to 48 hours before the start of the course will receive a full refund for the course fees.

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice will not be refunded. This includes situations where the client is a no-show. By purchasing your place on our course, you are agreeing to these terms.
