Get your gold card
Developed by JRS Training for up and coming supervisors who need further development prior to being assessed in the workplace. If you’re not yet working as a supervisor, or have only just started, the Supervisor Development Programme will help you get to where you need to be to complete your Level 3 NVQ in Occupational Work Supervision.
After completing this course, you’ll get the Level 3 NVQ, and then you can complete the CITB Specialist Supervisory Health, Safety & Environment Test to apply for your gold CSCS card.
Supervisor Development Programme

NVQs are lifetime qualifications. However, gold CSCS cards must be renewed every five years.
Length
This course includes five days of intensive classroom-based learning, followed by a site visit from the assessor.

Gold CSCS
Supervisor Cards
To get a 5-year CSCS gold card, you’ll need to complete any Level 3 or 4 NVQ and pass the CITB Health, Safety & Environment test for Supervisors.
Course funding
If you are up to date with your CITB levy returns, there are different ways in which you can receive funding for this qualification.
- Claim a £1250 grant back upon completion of the NVQ (not just the five days of classroom training).
- Apply for a Skills and Training Fund to use towards your training costs.
The CITB Skills and Training Fund can be used in tandem with CITB grants to get the entire cost of the course covered, with the grant paid on completion of the qualification.
