Who is this Level 6 NVQ course for?

This Diploma is aimed at those who are responsible for the development, implementation and review of Health and Safety procedures and wish to attain IOSH Graduate Membership.

Level 6 NVQ Overview

This NVQ level 6 Occupational Health and Safety qualification is aimed at Directors, Senior Safety Advisors and H&S Managers responsible for implementing and ensuring legally compliant health and safety policies and procedures. As a degree-level qualification, it is widely recognised and accepted on its own as entry to a job role, making it ideal if you are currently in a Health and Safety role and want to progress your career.

Level 6 NVQ Assessment

You will be assessed against a set of performance and knowledge statements which have been derived from National Occupational Standards for your occupational area. You will be assessed by an occupationally competent and qualified assessor whose job is to work with you and help you complete your qualification. You’ll be required to produce a Portfolio of Evidence showing how you have met the performance and knowledge criteria for each unit required within the qualification, as directed by your assessor.

Level 6 NVQ Progression

On completion of this qualification you will have obtained the skills, knowledge and understanding and demonstrated competence to progress on to a higher level qualification in the same or similar occupational area or enable entry into supervisory and management positions within the workplace.
